Video: The Action Points Podcast looks at Walking Simulators

Evan takes  a look at “Walking Simulators”

You know those “games” where there’s hardly any gameplay, and you just walk through an environment? Evan presents a collection of some of his favourites. These misunderstood gems are perfect for when you feel like a truly immersive or more narrative-focused experience. After all, it’s hard to really feel the emotional depth of a character after they’ve just killed their 10,000th baddie (or offensive ethnic stereotype).

Featured Games:

Dear Esther
Gone Home
Jazzpunk
Thirty Flights of Loving
The Stanley Parable
Mind: Path to Thalamus
Ether One
Proteus
Eidolon
Only If
